Game routing via Sydney.
Sydney provides an eastern Australian relay for AtlasGG routes. It is useful when your normal ISP path across the Pacific is less direct than a path via the AtlasGG network.
Where Sydney fits into a route.
For games hosted in North America, compare a route via Sydney with one through a closer Australian entry. The extra hop from your home to Sydney must be counted, not just the overseas segment.

Measure the complete path
Check the live path from your connection to Sydney first. Then compare the full estimated route to a supported game destination in Los Angeles or Dallas; the lowest international hop alone is not always the lowest end-to-end route.
Compare other relay cities.
Explore the other locations and check the route available for your game. Links below are comparisons, not promises of a direct connection.
Will Sydney always be best for overseas games?
No. The fastest option depends on your ISP, the game server's location, and any congestion along each leg. AtlasGG shows measured options rather than guaranteeing one route.
