H1Z1 ping

Ping is a route problem as much as a distance problem.

AtlasGG cannot change physical distance, but it can give supported H1Z1 traffic a different network path. Compare routes in the Windows client and use the one that performs best for your connection.

What changes pingAvailable
Your ISP→Transit path
Transit path→AtlasGG relay
AtlasGG relay→Game destination

Route quality depends on your ISP, location and the game destination. AtlasGG does not guarantee a specific ping reduction.

Latency

What can change H1Z1 ping?

Physical distance matters, but so do ISP routing, transit networks, peering, congestion and where the game destination sits on the internet.

ROUTE

ISP path

Your normal internet route may take a path that is longer or less consistent than another available route.

LOAD

Congestion

A route that looks good at one time can perform differently when links or networks are busy.

DISTANCE

Geography

No routing service can remove the physical distance between you and the game server.

Using AtlasGG

Compare before you connect.

AtlasGG shows route estimates for its available paths. A lower estimate is useful information, but real game performance can still vary once traffic is flowing.

Try direct

For some connections, a direct exit is already the best path.

Try a relay chain

For other connections, routing through Melbourne or Perth before Singapore may avoid a poor default transit path.
